Oklahoma is one of the top 12 schools for Kayvon Thibodeaux, the nation’s No. 1 recruit for the class of 2019.

Thibodeaux is the No. 1 SDE recruit at his position, and the No. 1 overall recruit nationally in the class of 2019 according to the 247 Sports Composite. While he’s currently projected to go to USC, being in the top 12 still gives the Sooners a chance.

Oklahoma has six commits in the class of 2019 already, including four 4-star recruits. While it does currently seem like the Sooners are a longshot for his services, they would be foolish to not try their luck with the California based prospect. At 6-foot-5 and 235 lbs, Thibodeaux is the perfect size for a collegiate defensive end, and could compete for playing time immediately at most colleges.
