Thanks to Jordan Parker, the 👀 emoji might have another meaning for Oklahoma.

The Sooners’ sophomore quarterback, out for the season with a knee injury suffered in Oklahoma’s season opener, dropped a hint Monday night that the injury might not cost him a year of eligibility.

Parker, whose injury came on special teams, would be a redshirt sophomore in the 2018 season should he receive a medical redshirt for this year. As a freshman in 2016, he played in 10 games, starting eight, but a foot injury this spring limited him, leaving him on the Sooners’ second string.

Parker made his collegiate debut last season against Texas, but he won’t be able to contribute in Saturday’s game against the Longhorns. Monday’s tweet, though, suggests he has three more Red River matchups ahead of him.
