Oklahoma RB Abdul Adams, WR Jeff Badet in uniform for Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Oklahoma kicks off at Kansas State at 4 p.m. ET and it appears the Sooners’ injury situation has improved.

Running back Abdul Adams, who missed last week’s game against Texas with an ankle injury is in uniform and did go through pregame warmups. The sophomore averages 10.6 yards per carry. Adams left ankle is heavily wrapped.

Also, wide receiver Jeff Badet is in uniform for the game. Badet caught a 54-yard touchdown pass last week against the Longhorns but did not play in the second half due to an undisclosed injury. He wasn’t wearing any restrictive braces or excessive tape when he came on the field.

Badet has 15 receptions through the first 6 games. He leads the Sooners with 21.4 yards per reception. Two of those catches went for touchdowns.

Freshman wide receiver CeeDee Lamb did play against Texas, but seemed limited by a shoulder injury he suffered in the Iowa State game. He seemed to be moving around fine prior to the game.

The only potential starter who wasn’t visible during the early warmups was defensive tackle Matt Romar. He’s missed the previous three games with an undisclosed injury.

Weather factor

At about 2:10 CT, the teams returned to the locker rooms and Kansas State made an attempt to move fans out of the stadium due to lightning in the area.

The rain is expected to end once the storm passes through. It will be interesting to see what kind of wind remains. Earlier in the day, the wind howled out of the south, gusting to over 30 miles per hour. After the storm front arrived, the wind changed direction.

Snyder Family Stadium runs north to south. It’s end zones are exposed, so wind coming from either direction will impact play.

Oklahoma sticks with the traditional uniforms

The Sooners wore an alternate uniform for its previous road game at Baylor. They’re wearing they’re sporting the traditional road uniforms with the crimson helmet, white jerseys and white pants.

Sooners bring 13-game road winning streak to Kansas State

Oklahoma brings a winning streak in true road games that dates back to the 2014 season into today’s game. Its last previous road loss was at TCU in 2014. Since then, its won in every Big 12 venue with the exception of Texas.

A win today matches the program’s second-longest road winning streak. Oklahoma won 14 in a row outside of Norman, Dallas and bowl games from 1973-76.
