Get insight and reaction to Ohio State football and basketball on the Inside the Shoe podcast, brought to you by Land of 10. In the latest edition, Kyle Lamb previews Ohio State’s Friday night showdown in Bloomington, Ind., against Indiana to wrap up the regular season. The Buckeyes still can earn a share of the Big Ten title with a win and a Michigan State loss to Wisconsin on Sunday. Any share of the title with Michigan State and Purdue would result in Ohio State earning the top seed in the Big Ten Tournament and a double bye to the quarterfinals on March 2 in Madison Square Garden.
Meanwhile, with Michigan’s upset of Maryland on Thursday, the women’s basketball Buckeyes already have clinched a share of the Big Ten title and can earn it outright with a win Sunday against Penn State.
Every episode of Inside the Shoe can be found here.
Topics discussed Friday on Inside the Shoe include:
- The slow resurgence of the Ohio State women’s basketball team and whether senior Kelsey Mitchell has a shot to catch Kelsey Plum for the all-time scoring mark.
- C.J. Jackson’s performance against Rutgers and the need for him to continue his production both in March and next season.
- A quick look ahead to the 2018-19 season with a roster of Jackson, Musa Jallow, Kyle Young, Andre Wesson, Kaleb Wesson, Micah Potter and the several key freshmen who will arrive on campus this summer.
Next week on the podcast, Kyle will recap the game against Indiana and uncork any champagne necessary from the weekend. Also, we will preview the Big Ten Tournament in New York City, and Austin Ward, Ryan Ginn and Ryan Donnelly all will stop in to talk football and recruiting news.
