Jerome Baker is not sure yet if he will declare for the 2018 NFL Draft. But he is sure he will play in Ohio State’s final game of the 2017 season.
Baker said he will definitely suit up for the Cotton Bowl against USC on Dec. 29. He noted that the possibility of going pro did not impact his decision.
“Even if I decide to leave, I’m playing regardless. I can’t leave my brothers behind,” said Baker, a junior in 2017.

Baker added: “I’m not worried about stuff like that. Making those decisions comes with the sport, but right now I’m worried about USC. … I never even thought about not playing or anything like that. This shows the culture of your locker room.”
In 11 games this season Baker had 51 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and forced a fumble. Baker is rated as the fourth-best linebacker prospect for the 2018 NFL Draft by Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller.
