Michael Thomas makes history

Former Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas is having another outstanding season with the New Orleans Saints. Thanks to a 9-catch performance on Sunday, Thomas now has 94 catches through 14 games. He had 92 during his rookie season in 2016.

Thomas is just the second player in NFL history to have at least 90 catches in both of his first two seasons in the league. Odell Beckham Jr. is the only other player to accomplish the feat.

Thomas has 1,085 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns in 2017.

A special moment for Ryan Shazier

Less than two weeks removed from suffering a serious spine injury, Ryan Shazier made his first public appearance Sunday. Shazier was in attendance for the Steelers home game against the New England Patriots at Heinz Field. The former Ohio State linebacker got a huge ovation from the Pittsburgh crowd when he was showed on the jumbotron.

Shazier was injured on Dec. 4 as he tried to make a tackle against the Cincinnati Bengals. He underwent spinal stabilization surgery a few days later and began the rehab process late last week.

Some NFL team is going to make its offensive line better by picking Billy Price in the next draft. Price is the latest in a long line of great Ohio State centers, and he might be the best at the position to enter the draft in a decade, according to one analyst.

NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah called Price “one of the best center prospects” he’s seen in the last 10 years. Price, the 2017 Rimington Trophy winner and a unanimous All-American, will likely receive even more praise in the lead up to the 2018 NFL Draft in April.
