Notre Dame RB Theo Riddick responds to NCAA ruling: ‘My squad went undefeated’

Theo Riddick-Notre Dame-Notre Dame football

The NCAA ruled this week that Notre Dame football will vacate 21 wins because of academic misconduct and for providing impermissible academic extra benefits.

Notre Dame President John I. Jenkins didn’t respond too kindly to vacate the wins. Naturally, neither did former Fighting Irish running back Theo Riddick, who played for Notre Dame when they went a perfect 12-0 during the 2012 regular season.

“No need to be disappointed EITHER WAY my squad went UNDEFEATED!” Riddick tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “The work and talent we displayed will ALWAYS REMAIN! Regardless of what the NCAA has to say …”
