Notre Dame has developed a reputation for churning out talented tight ends. Thursday, another talented prospect announced that he will seek to join the ranks of distinguished Irish players at the position.
Three-star tight end Tommy Tremble from Norcross Wesleyan School in Georgia committed to Notre Dame Thursday morning. Tremble is ranked by 247sports as the No. 20 tight end in the country in the Class of 2018.
While Tremble may only have a three-star rating, the list of suitors the Irish had to beat out to land him shows his potential. Tremble’s final four teams were the Irish, Georgia, UCLA and Michigan.
Tremble is the second tight end commit for Notre Dame in the 2018 class, joining four-star prospect and Army All-American George Takacs. Tremble is the 22nd player to commit to Notre Dame’s recruiting class, which is ranked No. 10 nationally by 247sports.
