Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly expects healthy roster to face N.C. State in Week 9

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will come into their meeting with N.C. State next Saturday a hot team. According to coach Brian Kelly, the Irish will be healthy too.

Kelly provided injury updates to the media in his Sunday teleconference, and said he expects many of the team’s injured players to suit up next Saturday against the Wolfpack.

Among players with at least 20 carries, Williams leads the team with 10.7 yards per carry. He has 214 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns while Jones hasn’t been to shabby either with 139 rushing yards and 2 scores.

Wide receiver Cam Smith has a touchdown as well to go with his seven receptions for 61 yards.

With all these players banged up, Notre Dame was still able to throttle rival USC, 49-14, on Saturday night. The Fighting Irish racked up 377 rushing yards and scored touchdowns off of all three Trojans’ turnovers.

But N.C. State will come into next week extremely hot as well. The Wolfpack have won six straight since losing on opening weekend to South Carolina at a neutral site. Quarterback Ryan Finley is having a fantastic year, recording 1,968 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

With the way these two teams are playing, the winner could very well go on to make the College Football Playoffs.
