Notre Dame basketball national championship odds plummet after Bonzie Colson injury


Notre Dame men’s basketball’s chances of winning the national championship took a huge hit Tuesday night when the team announced All-American forward Bonzie Colson will miss eight weeks because of a left foot fracture.

Likewise, Notre Dame’s championship odds plummet Wednesday too.

With Bonzie Colson's injury, #NotreDame men's BB goes from a 40-1 shot to win the national title to 75-1 (seems like it should be even longer odds) per Bovada.LV.

Colson suffered his injury in practice this week. If he does return in eight weeks, that would be in time for the ACC Tournament, but the Irish will likely have to navigate the entire conference regular season without their best player.

The senior is averaging 21.4 points and 10.4 rebounds this season.
