Northwestern will have somewhat of a retro look when the team takes the field against Iowa on Saturday (Noon ET, ESPN2). The Wildcats will be wearing helmets to honor the 1962 team, Northwestern revealed Friday.

Northwestern went 7-2 in 1962 and rose to No. 1 in the AP poll during the season. Under Ara Parseghian, Northwestern got off to a 6-0 start 55 years ago, which included an 18-14 win on the road against then-No. 6 Ohio State.
Pat Fitzgerald will hope some of that mojo rubs off on his team Saturday. Northwestern enters the game against Iowa looking for its second straight win which would push the Wildcats to 4-3 on the season.
