North Carolina’s Theo Pinson loses it over Joel Berry II NCAA Tournament practice dunk

Joel Berry II-Theo Pinson-dunk-North Carolina-NCAA Tournament

Although the NCAA Tournament began on Thursday, North Carolina does not hit the court until Friday afternoon. The second-seeded Tar Heels are set to begin their national championship defense against Lipscomb, a No. 15 seed and the Atlantic Sun’s automatic qualifier, on Friday afternoon in Charlotte, N.C.

Thursday, though, saw the team continue its preparation for the Bison. The day wasn’t without its lighter moments as the Tar Heels treated fans attending their open practice at the Spectrum Center in uptown Charlotte to a little dunk contest. That gave senior Joel Berry II an opportunity to show off for both the crowd and his teammates.

Even Roy Williams was impressed – watch as he raises both arms in the air when Berry comes down!

While Thursday’s practice was a little laid back at times, the Tar Heels will be all business as they face the Bison on Friday. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the Texas A&M-Providence matchup in the second round on Sunday.
