Nike introduces Saquon Barkley’s Vapor Untouchable 3 Elite cleat

It’s time for Saquon Barkley to get paid.

The former Penn State running back officially signed an endorsement deal with Nike last week, and on Thursday his first commercial with the company was released. It features Barkley practicing in his Vapor Untouchable 3 ‘Elite’ spikes. Check out the ad below:

Barkley is expected to be the first running back selected in the draft, and a recent CBSSports.com mock draft has Barkley going No. 4 to the Cleveland Browns.

His cleat, which is splashed orange and gray, is being sold for $200 on Nike.com. According to the website, the cleat “ helps keep you agile and light on your feet with a Flyknit construction. Strategically placed cleats help you change direction and accelerate quickly.”

Change direction and accelerate quickly.

Sound familiar?

Ahh, yes. This is Saquon Barkley, we’re talking about. Barkley rushed for 1,271 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior, in addition to hauling in 54 catches for 632 yards and three touchdowns. He was an early Heisman Trophy favorite and helped Penn State finish 11-2 and beat Washington in the 2017 Fiesta Bowl.

Change direction and accelerate quickly.

Sounds about right.
