Two weeks ago, Nebraska announced Frost as its new football coach. He was leaving Central Florida, which he led to a 12-0 record this season, and returning to the state he grew up in. He played high school football in Nebraska and played quarterback for the Cornhuskers for two seasons in the mid-to-late-1990s.
Now, he’s back coaching at his alma mater. Sports Illustrated recently ranked the move as the top hire of 2017, and judging by the ovation he received Saturday night, Nebraska fans appear to agree.
