Nebraska football prepares for Ohio State; a big Huskers recruiting update

Nebraska football is the No. 1 topic in  Big Red Rising every day — but we cover news, notes and analysis from across Huskers sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Huskers football, recruiting, basketball and more.

Getting a hold on things for Ohio State

The wide receivers have struggled to hold on to the football in key moments this season. It’s something wide receivers coach Keith Williams and offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf are working on with the group.

Also, as the Huskers prep for Ohio State, coach Mike Riley released the latest depth chart on Monday.

Micah Parsons visits Nebraska

Micah Parsons, a major 5-star defensive end recruit, was at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. He joined most of Nebraska’s 2018 class for a star-studded Saturday under the lights.

Tre Bryant a mystery

Is a medical redshirt on the table for running back Tre Bryant? The answer is yes, but Riley and his staff have plenty to discuss before it’s really a possibility. Until then, Bryant’s status remains a mystery after aggravating a knee issue.

Oregon State and Nebraska?

Oregon State and Gary Anderson parted ways, which means people tweeted about Mike Riley going back to the Beavers. Because of course they did.

A last stand

Could the Ohio State matchup be a final stand for Riley? Land of 10’s Sean Keeler looked at the possibility ahead of the Buckeyes’ trip to Memorial Stadium.

Quite the group

CB Chase Williams and CB Brendan Radley-Hiles are already committed to Nebraska. If DE Micah Parsons and RB T.J. Pledger join them? That would be quite the group.
