Nebraska basketball’s bench danced its way to a win against Maryland

Nebraska basketball beat Maryland Tuesday night to reach 20 wins for the first time in 10 years. The Huskers rode a 26-point effort from James Palmer Jr. to a 70-66 victory over the Terrapins. They’re still on the NCAA Tournament bubble, but Nebraska wasn’t afraid to have some fun in an important game.

The Huskers’ bench got things started after Palmer hit a three to break a tie at the start of the second half.

It’s nice to see them cutting loose. Uncorking an attempt at a synchronized macarena in front of everyone also seems like something you’d have to practice at least a few times, so I’d love to know how much planning went into this.

As the game continued and the Terrapins hung around, the cameras were ready for some more teamwork from down at the end of the bench.

And once Nebraska emerged with the win, everyone got to dance.

We’ve seen this before from Nebraska’s bench. Have they been doing this all season and we just haven’t noticed? Either way, I bet we’re going to see some more before the season’s over.
