Ohio State is a trendy pick to lose as a No. 5 seed in the first
round to No. 12-seed South Dakota State, but Keita Bates-Diop and the Buckeyes are doing their best to make sure the Buckeyes
don’t go home early.
Bates-Diop, the reigning Big Ten Player of the Year, posted up South Dakota State’s Mike Daum and muscled his way
to two tough points in the paint. Then Andrew Dakich swiped the ensuing inbounds pass, and Bates-Diop alertly sprinted back
up the court to get in position for a 3-pointer.
