Mychale Salahuddin decommits from USC after Maryland visit

One of the top running backs in the 2018 class has re-opened his recruitment. Mychale Salahuddin, a 4-star running back, decommited from USC on Sunday.

Salahuddin took a visit to Maryland this weekend, and named his list of top five schools in a tweet on Sunday. Salahuddin had USC, Maryland, Pitt, Clemson and North Carolina as his top five.

“Committing to USC was one of the biggest decisions made in my life. Over the last couple of months I’ve truly realized how important this decision is for my city, my family and my life after football,” Salahuddin wrote. “The thought of being a Trojan is something I’m truly interested in, but it must be decided with a littler more time and consideration.”

Salahuddin, a native of Washington, D.C. is ranked as the No. 204 player and No. 4 all-purpose back in the 2018 class in the 247Sports composite ratings. He will not be signing his letter of intent until February, according to 247Sports.
