Missouri gained a commitment Monday.

On Monday afternoon, linebacker Jatorian Hansford announced his commitment to the Tigers in a tweet. 247Sports rates the 6-foot-4, 220-pound athlete from Forsyth, Ga., as a 2-star athlete for the Class of 2018. He also received offers from Georgia State, Indiana, Rutgers and South Alabama, among other schools.

This is a big recruiting week throughout the country. College football’s new early signing period takes place Wednesday through Friday. In addition to building its 2018 class, Missouri hopes to continue its success on the field. The Tigers take on Texas in the Texas Bowl on Dec. 27 in Houston.

Missouri (7-5) enters the matchup on a six-game winning streak.
