Mike Gundy is doing what he can for the children of Stillwater, according to Nathan Ruiz of The Oklahoman.
Gundy attended a Stillwater Board of Education meeting, where he offered to foot the bill for the rest of the school year for the protection of the students.
Gundy had some strong words for the board, saying, “We have protection in our banks, in an airport, in a jewelry store, but we don’t have protection in our schools. We can replace all those things, but we can’t replace our kids.”
Gundy has three kids: Gavin, Gunnar, and Gage.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to get it started,” said Gundy. “I know these things take time. I don’t think we have time.”
