Michigan State’s Nick Ward avoids injury after scary fall

Michigan State center Nick Ward took a tumble during the Spartan’s first-round game against Bucknell, falling over a Bison player and appearing to land on his face in the second half.

Ward exited the game after and returned to the bench, so any injuries he suffered here don’t appear to be serious.

“His neck is fine, he’s cleared to play and will return shortly,” reporter Allie LaForce said on the CBS broadcast.

Ward came back to an ovation from the crowd with 12 minutes left in the game.
