Michigan parts ways with strength coach Kevin Tolbert, per report

Jim Harbaugh is reportedly shaking up his Michigan staff. The Wolverines parted ways with strength and conditioning coach Kevin Tolbert, according to Alex Marvez of Sporting News.

Tolbert was on Michigan’s staff for each of Harbaugh’s three seasons in Ann Arbor, and he also served as assistant strength coach with the Wolverines on Lloyd Carr’s staff from 2001-2007.

Tolbert had been with Harbaugh for nine consecutive seasons dating back to the 2009 campaign at Stanford. Tolbert was with the San Francisco 49ers for all four years of Harbaugh’s tenure and then returned with him to Ann Arbor.

Michigan had not picked a replacement for Tolbert, according to the Sporting News report.
