Paul Finebaum calls Wolverines 2018 title contenders

ESPN’s Paul Finebaum was quick to comment Monday after news broke about Patterson’s transfer to Michigan. Finebaum, who has been critical of coach Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines this season, tweeted that Patterson is “one of the SEC’s best QBs” and said that if the NCAA clears him to play in 2018, Michigan becomes a title contender.

Maurice Hurst a first-team AP All-American

Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst landed on The Associated Press’ All-America first team on Monday. Hurst is Pro Football Focus’ top-rated college football player and finished the regular season with 59 tackles (13 1/2 for a loss) and 5 sacks as the anchor of the Wolverines’ No. 2-ranked defense. Additionally, linebacker Devin Bush Jr. made the AP All-America third team.
