Michigan is apparently going with maize pants at Penn State

James Franklin wants every Penn State fan at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night to be covered in white from head-to-toe. Michigan does not want to be part of the Nittany Lions white out, apparently.

It looks like Michigan will be wearing maize pants with the team’s white jerseys on Saturday night when the Wolverines face Penn State in a top-20 matchup (7:30 ET, ABC). ESPN’s Marty Smith tweeted a picture from Michigan’s locker room Friday night that showed the maize pants hanging up.

Michigan has worn white pants with its white uniforms since Jordan Brand took over the Wolverines uniforms at the beginning of the 2016 season. The Wolverines had even more of a maize look in Week 1, when they wore an all-yellow uniform against Florida in a neutral site game.

Regardless of uniform, Michigan has won its last three games against Penn State and Jim Harbaugh is 2-0 all-time against James Franklin. The Wolverines are listed as an 8.5-point underdog on Saturday night.
