The Miami Hurricanes announced Thursday that Malik Rosier has been added to the watch list for the 2017 Manning Award, which honors the nation’s top quarterback.
Rosier, a redshirt junior, has helped power the Hurricanes to their 4-0 start and top-11 ranking in his first season as the starting quarterback. He’s completed 58.2 percent of his passes for 1,074 yards, with 11 touchdowns against just 3 interceptions, and has also run for 126 yards an 2 scores.
The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl to honor the accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. Ten finalists will be determined by a selected panel of media as well as the Mannings. The winner will be announced following the College Football Playoff National Championship.
