Miami Hurricanes basketball moves up to No. 6 in AP Top 25

The undefeated Miami Hurricanes basketball team climbed in the AP Top 25.

In this week’s edition, Miami moves up from No. 10 to No. 6 after a 69-54 victory over visiting Boston University.

Two losses apiece by Kansas and Florida, as well as losses by Notre Dame and Texas A&M aided Miami to rise in the rankings.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, Miami jumped from No. 11 to No. 8.

In the win vs. Boston, freshman Lonnie Walker had a breakthrough performance with 26 points (5-of-7 on 3-poiners) and seven rebounds.

The Hurricanes are off to an 8-0 record and will travel to face George Washington on Dec. 16.
