Will Muschamp has gotten plenty of flack over the years for his time at Florida. But the media was singing his praises after once again beating Tennessee on Saturday.
Muschamp is now 6-0 in his career against Tennessee and 4-0 against Butch Jones. Last year’s win against Tennessee kept the Volunteers out of the SEC title game, and this year’s win may end up being the final nail in Butch Jones’ coffin.
And after the 15-9 for Muschamp and his team, the media gave the second year South Carolina coach high praise.
Defending the pick play by South Carolina inside the red zone key. The Gamecocks are a really young team. Will Muschamp's D well prepared.

South Carolina had 10 sacks coming into the Tennessee game, then managed 7 against the Vols. Another elite outing for Will Muschamp's group.

losing to Will Muschamp doesn’t even hurt anymore, which is, in itself, a horrifying sensation

Tennessee's issues aside, this has to be a very gratifying win for Will @CoachWMuschamp . Nothing was going right and his team just kept playing. Took control of the line of scrimmage in the second half.

Congrats to Will Muschamp & South Carolina by the way. Guy has no talent on this team & has beaten NC State, Arkansas & UT as underdogs.

The Gamecocks are now 5-2 on the season and head into the bye week. They come out of it with a game against Vanderbilt, and if South Carolina beat the Commodores, it would be bowl eligible for a second straight year.
And very few people thought the Gamecocks would do that in the first two Will Muschamp seasons. He’s continued to prove plenty of people wrong.
