LSU offers in-state DT Jacobian Guillory

LSU became the first offer for Louisiana defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory on Friday.

Guillory, a 6-foot-3, 330-pound lineman in the Class of 2020 from Alexandria (La.) High School, has been a prospect on coach Ed Orgeron’s radar for some time.

“Coach O, I talk to him all the time,” Guillory told SEC Country.

LSU, Tulane and Texas A&M all stopped through Alexandria, La., during the Contact Period this winter to check on the mammoth defensive lineman. Guillory has plans to camp at LSU as well as Alabama.

The Tigers were the first to pull the trigger on offering Guillory and have cemented their spot as one of the early favorits.

“Right now it’s LSU, Alabama,” Guillory said. “LSU, just the way things are running there … I’m from Louisiana, born and raised here. Alabama — just their defense in general. I love watching Alabama play.”

Expect the rising junior defensive tackle to make his way to Baton Rouge for prospect camp this summer. By then, he expects to slim down closer to 300 pounds.

That should be put in a similar mold as current LSU defensive end Rashard Lawrence, a player that Guillory has a prior relationship with and looks up to.

“The reason I want to go to LSU is Rashard Lawrence,” he said. “I look up Rashard. I respect him as a person. He’s told me about the game and taught me so much.
