As he prepares to embark on his first season in Tallahassee, Willie Taggart is well aware of the illustrious history of the Florida State program and the man that put the ‘Noles on the map.
No coach is more beloved in Florida State history than Bobby Bowden. That’s the kind of respect that 377 wins, two national titles and 12 ACC titles earns you.
So having such an incredible resource at your disposal is quite the blessing. Taggart and his staff paid a visit to the Florida State legend’s home on Thursday for some quality time.
Taggart raved about the experience afterwards on his Twitter account.

Meanwhile, Bowden was extremely complimentary of Taggart and believes the program is in the right hands.
Coach Bobby Bowden on home visit from Coach Taggart, Odell and Greg Frey, whom he hadn't seen since Greg's FSU days. Bobby on Coach T: "That (genuine) comes across, it really does. Good personality. Greet smile. Very serious about his work. He loves Florida State."

This is such a heartwarming moment.
There was a bitter taste when Jimbo Fisher bolted for Texas A&M but the way Taggart has immediately immersed himself into the community proves he was the right man for the job.
