Chris Del Conte is just two days into his new job as athletic director at the University of Texas, but he might already be a little homesick.
Del Conte, who resigned as TCU’s athletic director on Dec. 9 for the new position, took part in a radio interview on Monday — the day he was introduced as the Longhorns’ new athletic director.
A photo of Del Conte with his headset on showed him to be making a hand gesture representative of one Big 12 school, but it was certainly no “Horns up.”

You be the judge if Del Conte was sending any sign to the TCU faithful. It certainly wasn’t something Texas fans wanted to see that early.
Del Conte spent eight years as TCU’s athletic director before taking the job in Austin, Texas. He oversaw TCU’s entrance into the Big 12 Conference in time for the 2012-13 academic school year.
And to no surprise, TCU likely has a soft spot in his heart for all Del Conte accomplished in Fort Worth — at least if the photo above is any indicator.
