After reports that Texas had hired TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte in the same position, Del Conte released a message to the TCU faithful from his personal Twitter account.

The message seems very heartfelt, and the decision to leave TCU must have been a difficult one for Del Conte.
Under Del Conte, TCU entered the Big 12, and broke ground of several massive projects designed to upgrade the Horned Frogs’ athletic facilities.
While it’s difficult to project how any hire will affect the stability of any program, much less the conference at large, there’s a chance Del Conte will begin working on things that will help the Big 12 compete better nationally.
Either way, the search for a new athletic director for TCU will begin very soon. Luckily for the Horned Frogs, they already have one of the best all-around athletic departments in the nation.
