LOOK: Superfan gets outrageous tattoo in showing love for Tim Couch, who took notice

Former Kentucky QB Tim Couch may not be in the national spotlight anymore, but he is being featured very prominently and permanently: on someone’s left arm. And the UK legend likes what he sees.

Couch, the 1998 Heisman Trophy finalist and No. 1 overall draft pick of the Cleveland Browns, is still remembered fondly by many fans in Lexington, as well as a superfan in New York.

On Wednesday, a story by Charlotte Wilder of SB Nation talks to Kyle Hart, a Browns fan who recently got a unique tattoo that shows his love for Couch and the Browns. Here’s a look at it, as shown in Wilder’s story.

The tattoo is that of an old-school couch with a huge “2” to salute the jersey number Couch wore with the Wildcats and Browns, and it’s striped like the top of a Browns helmet.

As Wilder points out in her story, Hart — who isn’t even from Ohio — actually named his old band “Couch” after the player that he loved watching so much.

Wilder reached out to Couch, who showed his appreciation with this response.

“I think I do remember someone I met that had a tattoo before but it was a long time ago when I was playing haha.. Pretty neat that he just recently got it since I haven’t played in a while. But I think his tattoo is cool ! Pretty creative. Tell him I really appreciate him being a fan of mine and I loved my time in Cleveland! Wish things were going better for the Browns right now but I’m still a fan of the team.”

Couch played five seasons in the NFL with his last coming in 2003. He went 22-37 as a starter, completing 59.8 percent of his passes for 11,131 yards, 64 TDs and 67 INTs.
