Kentucky got by Virginia Tech last Saturday 93-86.
They did it with the help of guard Quade Green, who had 17 points and 5 assists while shooting 50 percent from the field.
Green made headlines with the special glasses he wore after he was poked in the eye against Monmouth and now the whole Kentucky team is getting in on the trend.
In honor of Quade and how well he played with the sunglasses on Saturday, we’ve decided we’re going to practice the same way. We’re going to petition the NCAA to protect our eyes! pic.twitter.com/BEcsWXnc6j

It doesn’t seem like his teammates are attempting to make fun of Green as much as they are honoring him for getting them past the Hokies in a shootout.
These shades will stick around, too. Green said postgame he plans to wear them all season.
“He was really good,” Calipari said Saturday. “I kind of felt bad for him, so I was going to wear sunglasses [Saturday], too. I told the team I was going to. I thought, ‘If he has to do it, I’ll do it with him. We’ll both have sunglasses.’ But it would have been a national story: Who does he think he is? He thinks he’s at the beach.”
