There was a lot of hype surrounding the Miami Hurricanes football program after they ended their losing streak against Florida State last week. But the home attendance for the Week 7 matchup with Georgia Tech doesn’t reflect much hype at all.
Miami has yet to release the full attendance of its home title versus the Yellow Jackets, but pictures indicate a stadium about half full.

Like a couple ACC football programs, Miami doesn’t play its home games on campus but at Hard Rock Stadium about 30 minutes away. Students have to drive and pay for parking or take public transportation to get to the game.
That could be the main reason there were so many empty seats on Saturday, but still, it was not a good look for Miami to play such an important home game in front of such a small crowd.
