Kirk Herbstreit raves about QB Shea Patterson transferring to Michigan: ‘Big time pick up’

ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit is a big fan of QB Shea Patterson’s transfer to Michigan.

On Monday, Patterson announced on Twitter that he’s going to be a Wolverine. Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins replied and expressed excitement about the news. Now Herbstreit is sharing his thoughts on the former 5-star recruit.

“Wow!! Has been speculated about and now official,” Herbstreit tweeted on Monday. “Big time pick up for @UMichFootball and Jim Harbaugh! Shea is a dual threat that has 2 years of starting experience. Not to mention he’s joining a veteran team for 2018!”

After a Twitter user questioned Herbstreit calling Patterson a “dual threat,” Herbstreit clarified what he meant.

“I mean he has enough athletic ability to get away from trouble and move around. Not a statue.”
