ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit made it clear that he is a fan of Penn State linebacker Jason Cabinda earlier this season, and he reiterated it on Thursday.

When Cabinda tweeted that he was officially done with college, Herbstreit responded to congratulate the senior on his accomplishment and called Cabinda a “future star.”

“Congratulations big man!! Great accomplishment,” Herbstreit said on Twitter. “Chase those dreams then call me when you’re ready to get into TV like we talked about. Future star! #ClassAct”

Here’s the Twitter exchange below:

Cabinda thanked Herbstreit in a response that included emjois of a cameras and a television along with the hashtag “#rolemodel.” Here’s his response:

While it is expected that Cabinda will be chosen by a team in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft, and will go on to play in the NFL, it seems as though he has his after-football career all set up.

In 12 games this season with the Nittany Lions, Cabinda has recorded 86 total tackles (32 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and 2 forced fumbles.
