Kentucky Wildcats podcast: Things get heated at UK basketball media day

This edition of Wildcat Country is all about Kentucky basketball’s media day. There were some fireworks that made national news.  Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald-Leader asked a question about the FBI investigation in college basketball, and UK coach John Calipari was ready to move on.  We have the audio of the exchange in the podcast. Kyle Tucker and Curtis Burch were both at media day (not coach day) and discuss what it was like to be in the room when the drama was going down.
Hamidou Diallo, Sacha Killeya-Jones and Quade Green all gave their reasons for picking Kentucky.
There was also much discussion about Jarred Vanderbilt. Calipari gave an update that made it seem possible that Vanderbilt would be back sooner than first reported. Plus, Tucker talked to a frustrated Vanderbilt during the player portion of media day.
There was basketball actually talked about at media day as well. There was lots of discussion on the position-less basketball that Calipari likes to play. Calipari also discussed his point guards. He indicated how many guys he believes could play the point this season.
Finally there is some commentary on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s hair. How the heck does he get it to look the way it does? Maybe there will be an upcoming podcast on the subject.
