Kentucky Wildcats podcast: Nick Richards, PJ Washington among standouts at UK pro day

Kentucky’s basketball season has inched ever closer and in what is becoming an annual tradition, John Calipari hosted more than 90 NBA scouts on Sunday for a UK Basketball pro day. SEC Country columnist Kyle Tucker joins Curtis Burch to discuss the results of that pro day. What stood out to him were some of the measurements and how the players did in drills. Nick Richards and PJ  Washington measured really well.

During the pro day broadcast, John Calipari may have let slip that there would be a special guest at Madness this season, specifically a rapper (Drake) who has been at a few UK events before.

Also, it was a big recruiting weekend for UK basketball but not because of who was on campus. USA basketball had a training camp with high school prospects, including UK commit Immanuel Quickely. Quickley was joined by 2018 targets Zion Williamson and Bol Bol. Quickley said he tried to recruit them at the event. He also said he expects good news for Kentucky before high school basketball season starts. All of those guys are scheduled to be at Madness, and Kyle and Curtis go over who will be in attendance.

Speaking of recruiting, UK football had a de-commit on Monday, Alex Reiglesperger. The linebacker out of Ohio tweeted out he would be considering other schools.

The podcast finishes up with Kyle’s thoughts on the Kentucky football’s win over Missouri. Did Mark Stoops make the right decision kicking it on fourth-and-goal and why do some fans seem unhappy with a 5-1 team?

Mark Stoops sounded hopeful that Jordan Jones might return after UK’s bye week and talks about how much  that can help the Kentucky football team.
