Kentucky and Texas A&M each only have one loss this season, and both teams are continuing to move up in the AP Top 25 poll.
The Wildcats moved up to No. 7 and the Aggies to No. 8, as both teams advanced one spot in the updated poll, which was released on Monday afternoon.
Kentucky beat Virginia Tech on Saturday in its only game of the week. The Wildcats have won seven games in a row, improving to 9-1, since losing to Kansas on Nov. 14.
Texas A&M is also 9-1 after it beat Savannah State last Wednesday in its only game of the week. The Aggies have won back-to-back games since their loss to Arizona on Dec. 5.
Villanova (11-0) remained the No. 1 team in this week’s poll.
Tennessee is still ranked despite losing its only game of the week — a 78-73 loss to North Carolina, which is now ranked No. 5. The Vols (7-2) had won four games in a row prior to that loss. They fell one spot to No. 21 in this week’s poll.
