Kansas upset by Arizona State, loses consecutive games for first time since 2013

Kansas basketball suffered just its 11th loss at Allen Fieldhouse in the Bill Self era on Sunday as the No. 2 Jayhawks were upset by No. 16 Arizona State, 95-85.

The loss marked the first time since December 2013 that the Jayhawks fell in consecutive games. Kansas was upset by Washington in a 74-65 loss on Dec. 6 at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.

Kansas most recently lost at home in overtime vs. Oklahoma State on Feb. 4, 2017. The Jayhawks had won 54 straight games at Allen Fieldhouse entering that contest vs. the Cowboys.

Junior Lagerald Vick finished the day with a team-best 25 points for the Jayhawks. Kansas is now 7-2 on the season after winning seven straight out of the gate.

The Jayhawks will return to action at Nebraska on Saturday, Dec. 16. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT.
