Kansas-Iowa State game delayed due to lightning

Kansas and Iowa State are now scheduled to kickoff at 11:41 a.m. CT after lightning delayed the original 11 a.m. kickoff time.

Iowa State has not had a delay at Jake Trice Stadium in Ames since the 2005 season — when a tornado touched down near the stadium. It is only the third time in stadium history that a delay has happened.

It is not the only Big 12 game to be delayed in Week 7. The same storm system forced TCU and Kansas State into a 45-minute delay at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan, Kan.

The Iowa State-Kansas game will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
