Could Jon Gruden possibly end up being the next head coach at Tennessee? Some oddsmakers think so.
According to Bet Online, Gruden is now one of the favorites to be hired by the Volunteers, joining former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, Purdue coach Jeff Brohm, and Louisville’s Bobby Petrino. Gruden comes in at +800, the same odds as current Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck. When the odds were first released, Gruden was a longshot at +2000.
Gruden’s name has long been rumored to return to coaching since 2009, when he was fired after seven seasons, including a Super Bowl championship, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
