Joe Thomas ends incredible consecutive snaps streak after injury

Joe Thomas didn’t just start every game from the moment the Cleveland Browns drafted him out of Wisconsin. He played every single snap. That streak was finally broken at 10,363 snaps, which is believed to be an NFL record.

NFL records don’t have anyone getting to 10,000 snaps, though the league has not always kept record of player snaps as a statistic.

Thomas left the Browns’ game against the Titans with what the team announced as a triceps injury. He went down holding his left elbow after a play in the third quarter on Sunday.

He got to the 10,000-snap threshold in Week 2 against the Ravens, and congratulations poured in from all over.
