OT Jason Dickson commits to Minnesota

Minnesota footall coach P.J. Fleck and the Golden Gophers have landed 3-star recruit Jason Dickson.

Dickson — an offensive tackle out of Diablo Valley Junior College in Pleasant Hill, Calif. — gave a verbal commitment to the program during his official visit to Minnesota on Sunday, according to a report by Kyle Goblirsch of 247sports.com.

Dickson confirmed his commitment of Twitter:

Dickson is rated the No. 7 offensive tackle in the country at the junior college level. He went to junior college after beginning his football career late in high school.

The 6-foot-7, 309-pound Dickson had offers from Colorado, Maryland, UCLA and Arizona State on the table when he committed to Minnesota.
