On Monday, a physically gifted tight end made his pledge to join the Indiana Hoosiers.

T.J. Ivy, who is 6-foot-5 and 217 pounds, made his announcement via social media.

Here’s what he said in his post on Twitter:

“This past week has brought unusual events that caused me to reassess which university I plan to attend to further my education and continue my football career. I’ve learned a lot about my character and the values that are truly important to me. I’ve spent many hours these past few days weighing my options and have come to a decision about my future. With the blessing of my family, coaches, and close friends, I have decided to commit to Indiana University! Go Hoosiers!”

As Ivy mentioned, he has had to reassess where he wants to attend college. On June 23, 2017, he committed to West Virginia. However, on Oct. 19, Ivy decommitted, thus re-opening his recruitment. That lead to Monday — just four days later — when he chose Indiana.

The Hoosiers also made his list of top-4 schools in May, prior to his commitment to the Mountaineers.

Ivy, from Chicago, is now the Hoosiers’ second tight end in the 2018 class and the 19th overall recruit to give his verbal commitment to the Hoosiers. Ivy is ranked by 247Sports as a 3-star recruit and the No. 60 player at his position in the country.

The Hoosiers currently have the No. 40-ranked class in the country, according to 247Sports, and the No. 10 class in the Big Ten.
