Iowa football is always the main topic in Iowa Breakfast Club, Land of 10’s daily Hawkeyes notebook — but we cover news, notes and analysis across Hawkeyes sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Iowa football, recruiting, basketball and more.

Mr. All-American

Tyler Linderbaum is the third Iowa commit in the last two seasons to become a U.S. Army All-American, Matthew Bain of the Iowa City Press-Citizen reports. The 3-star Solon High School (Iowa) defensive tackle joins A.J. Epenesa and Tristan Wirfs, who both earned the honor last season. This is yet another sign of Linderbaum being a potential hidden gem in the Class of 2018.

Film study

Land of 10 tackled the query in its latest question of the day.

Reading the tea leaves

Extra benefits

How did Connor McCaffery celebrate committing to Iowa men’s basketball? His parents told him to take out the trash. Then they bought him a car. Land of 10 takes a look at what the commitment process was like for Connor and Patrick McCaffery, the sons of head coach Fran McCaffery.

Living the dream

Three former Iowa men’s basketball players are set to play in the NBA G-League this year. Can you guess who they are before reading about them in this Mike Hlas story from the Cedar Rapids Gazette?

The road to Iowa

How exactly did Paula Valino Ramos join the Hawkeyes? Jeff Linder of the Cedar Rapids Gazette recaps the recruitment of the Spanish women’s basketball player.
