Iowa offensive line commit Ezra Miller is all about dominance and asserting his will on defensive linemen. When he travels to an all-star event, the 2019 4-star prospect wants to see if he’s the alpha male on the field.

Time to shine

The Iowa wrestling team certainly did during the first session on Thursday. The Hawkeyes had a couple of notable upsets and held the lead at the conclusion of the morning session. The evening session wasn’t as kind. Spencer Lee was one of three Hawkeyes to make the semifinals, but Andrew Sorensen was shockingly upset. It’s good, but not good enough if the Hawkeyes want to take home a trophy, as the Des Moines Register’s Chad Leistikow reports.

Preparing for the spring’s Rob Howe gets fans ready for spring football with a preview of the offense. Howe suggests placing quarterback Nathan Stanley in bubble wrap for the next few months. It’s not a bad idea considering the backup quarterbacks are a redshirt freshman and freshman.

Calling it a career

Former Iowa tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz is retiring from the NFL. He suffered three concussions in the last year. Fiedorowicz sounds happy and content in this Northwest Herald story by Joe Stevenson as he moves onto the next phase of his life.
