Iman Marshall is noticing the value of two coaches working exclusively with USC cornerbacks and safeties.
The senior cornerback is going through his final spring camp with the Trojans. He likes the extra attention to detail during this year’s spring practices. Marshall thinks the more defined coaching will help USC’s secondary in the long run.
“I feel like specializing on one aspect, with one coach specializing, you can really put the focus point on what you need to do,” Marshall said, per 247 Sports. “Focus on the fundamentals with each and every player. Instead of having to coach the scheme, you can now focus on the little things and fundamentals.”
USC has assistant coach Ronnie Bradford working with the cornerbacks and defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast instructing the safeties. Fundamentals and attention to detail are essential this time of year. The extra attention to each position will be beneficial for the Trojans.
