Heisman odds for Alabama QB Jalen Hurts rises in Vegas after Week 8

Many in Tuscaloosa have been wondering why Alabama QB Jalen Hurts isn’t getting more Heisman love. Well, Las Vegas gave him a good amount after last week.

In fact, the sophomore was one of only two players in the entire country to see their odds of winning the Heisman Trophy go up after Week 8, based on the latest odds released by Bovada.

The other player was Penn State RB Saquon Barkley, the Heisman favorite who put together an impressive performance in a 42-13 win over Michigan last Saturday.

Hurts’ odds is up to 20/1 from 50/1 the previous week. Barkley’s are at 4/11 after standing at 7/5.

Here’s a look at the full odds that includes 16 players, nine of whom have now been removed from consideration at the moment.
