Former Penn State linebacker Gerald Hodges has a new home in the NFL. Hodges will sign with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Hodges has been in the NFL since 2013 but was cut by the Buffalo Bills before the start of the 2017 regular season. Hodges made 12 starts and had 80 tackles for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. The 6-foot-1, 243-pound Hodges was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2013 and spent two-and-a-half seasons with the team before he was traded to San Francisco in 2015.
Hodges was a key piece of Penn State’s defense in 2011 and 2012, totaling more than 100 tackles in both seasons.
